AFC Championship: Steelers over Ravens
It's hard to beat a team 3 times in a row, and this game really is a toss up with Big Ben being hurt and going up aganist a red hot Ravens team. But I gotta stick with the terrible towel to take the AFC Championship.
NFC Championship: Eagles over Cardinals
The Eagles beat the defending World Champions in an intimidating fashion. The Cardinals are a great team but I believe up against the Eagles defense they will be stopped. The Eagles Defense looked great last week aganist the Giants.
This is setting up a potential Pennsylvania Superbowl.
I'm giving it to the Steelers. I realize that it's tough to beat the same team three times in a row, but I also think that stat is sort of irrellevant at this point. The deciding factors for me in this game are the Steelers D, and the fact that no rookie QB has ever led his team to the Super Bowl. I see Flacco breaking down and having a bad game. NFC Championship: Eagles @ Cardinals
This game straight up confuses me. I really thought either the Giants or the Panthers or both would be in this game. Since they both lost, I am left scratching my head over this. But I'm gonna go with the Cardinals at home. If they can beat a really good Panthers team at Carolina, then they can beat a good Eagles team at home. The fact that the Eagles don't really have a true number one receiver kinda bothers me with the fact that Westbrook won't be 100%. The Eagles D is good, but the Combo of Warner and Fitzgerald will get the job done. Cardinals- 28 Eagles- 24

i got the Steelers vs Cardinals in the super bowl. Steelers will beat Ravens for the 3rd time this season but it will be a close hard hitting game. and the Cards will keep on throwing to Fitzgerald its goin to be close
Two words can only describe this match-up. Defensive showdown. Whoever is able to create more turnovers will win this game. I like the Steelers in this situation because they have a stellar offense to back up their defense, not taking anything away from Flacco, but he has one major reciever he can go to, and I see the Steelers shutting down that running duo of McGahee and McClain.

Cardinals vs. Eagles
Eagles will be traveling to the desert here, and the Cards are tough at home with a 6-2 record, but I see the Eagles pulling out of there with a win. Why? The Eagles have something the Cards dont, Brian Westbrook. That is the Eagles biggest chance of winning is if Westbrook has a big game, which he will.

Well i guess i am just one to add to the people preaching it but Defense wins championships and both of these teams have great defenses. Big Ben being hurt might let a little ray of light cmming in through the clouds if they sack him a few times. Polomalu is also hurt and i dont think he can play the whole game. I'll take the rookie Joe Flacco and a fierce running game with McClain and McGahee and the best saftey in football with Ed Reed. Ravens-17 Steelers-10
Eagles vs Cardinals
Well both of these teams are hitting their stride at the right time. I'm gonna take the Cardinals because i think their offense will over power the Eagles defense and Kurt Warner will have a huge game throwing to Fitz and hopefully Bolden

Ravens vs. Steelers A conference championship game doesnt get any better than this. A division rivalry taken to the next level to decide who would represent the AFC in the super bowl. We know both teams have very strong defenses, but theres only one team in my mind with a quarterback ready to take his team to the super bowl. That team with that quarterback would be the steelers with big ben. I dont think Joe Flacco as a rookie can go to pittsburgh against that defense and succeed. Steelers 20/ Ravens 19
Eagles vs. Cardinals The time is now for the eagles to take the next step and go to the super bowl and win. The eagles and cardinals are both on hot streaks but only one of these teams can go to tampa. The eagles come in with there defense and their quarterback playing the best they have all season long. On the flip side, so do the cardinals.So i think that this game will come down to who has the best running game and i think that would be the eagles. Westbrook has had a relatively quiet postseason so far but i think he will break out in this game Eagles 27/ Cardinals 17
ravens/steelers... ravens. Baltimores D is shutting teams down right now and that game against Tennessee was no fluke. Remember Tennessee dismantled pittsburgh in the regular season so im leaning towards baltimore. It'll be close but i think ed reed and ray lewis will step up on D and shut big ben down.
eagles/cardinals... eagles. I don't think this game is that tough to pick. I agree that arizona beat a very good carolina team but did the cardinals D create those 6 turnovers because they were THAT good or because delhomme was THAT bad. I think it was because Delhomme was that bad. Arizona isn't going to get that lucky facing donovan. Eagles win... bigger than the experts think.
I go Ravens over Steelers due to the fact that the Ravens D is pretty much unstoppable and I don't see them playing down. Joe Flacco will throw a couple of TD's final score 24-13.
I go Cardinals over the Eagles. Really wasn't that tough for me the Eagles have happend to play teams that have looked very bad and the Cardnials have jut dominated, their passing game and running game is going, their defense casued six turnovers they got this game.

All Pennsylvania Super Bowl, Bob i'm glad to see were still Philly hating. Arizona should just be happy to be where they are at, I just dont see how a team who lost by 28 the first time will win the second time. The Eagles are playing better football than anyone right now and the last 8 weeks have been must win and I dont see this being any different. Hopefully the Cardinals will employ the same strategy as the Giants and keep 22 eyes on #36 so they can leave no eyes on the other 10. Eagles in a blowout 31-14.
Steelers and Ravens should be a great game if you like defensive battles, although the Ravens have won 2 postseason games, they have come by the strength of their defense and the Steelers will make Joe Flacco beat them with his arm, which if that was the case in either of the first 2 games the Ravens would have had an early exit. In the playoffs Flacco has looked liked exactly what he is a rookie, also lets not forget the Steelers Defense is pretty stout themselves and more importantly healthy, Steelers dominate 17-3.
I'm glad to see you back Wally, but come on lets think about this how many times have the NFC Championship game this will be their fifth time, and how many times have they gotten out of the NFC CHampionship game. They got out once in 04, and then lost to the PAts in the Superbowl. Bottomline is that Donovan chokes in big time games.

Besides warner and james bob, none of the arizona cardinals have ever even been in this spot before. Philly is loaded with playoff experience and they know what it's like. Philly is also the hottest team right now and you can't just count on donovan to choke.
14-6 Eagles right now Cheesy, like I said Cheesy Donovan McNabb would have a pick and he does, they are lucky that the Cardinals player fumbled after Desean Jackson stripped the ball.

I must be dreaming the Arizona Cardinals are in the Super Bowl! The worst run organization for many years in football is 1 win away from being crowned world champs! I am shocked
The Eagles played very well in the second half which surprised me. I knew they wouldn't lay dead,but they had a great comeback having a 19-0 run, until Arizona scored that touchdown.

cheesy's right. mcnabb played very well all game long. the thing that let the eagles down was there defense giving up 4 passing touchdowns. there secondary was there bread and butter all season long

Stats can be decieving, he may have thrown for 375 yards but he missed alot of open recievers that could have gone for big plays, namely a first down catch by Hank Baskett that he caught off his shoes when if thrown where it needs to be it goes for an easy 6. Reguardless how the defense played they played well enough to win. Once again the offense left too many points on the field. When the offense struggled the defense was there to clean up the mess, so when the defense struggled they needed the offense to step up and they severley dropped the ball. Here's a stat for you, the Eagles were 10-1-1 when Westbrook had atleast 19 touches, their lone win coming in a week 17 rout of the Cowboys. Today Westbrook had 14 touches.

The offense may have left points on the field, but its hard to win when your defense gives up 32 points. I cant blame this game on McNabb because it wasnt his fault they lost. David Akers misssed an extra point and a field goal but nobody's talkin about him leavin points on the field. If he makes those kicks, who knows how the eagles wouldve went about that last drive. Oh by the way on that last 4th and 10 does anybody else thing that kevin curtis was tripped?
in the situation of the game there's no way, i think, that the refs should have called anything. To good of a game to be determined by a marginal call.
Akers missing a fieldgoal is one thing but the PAT was a mute point, besides that it was the holders fault, why is he even out there to try it. The PAT makes it a 4 point game, missing only put them in the same situation as if they had gone for 2 and not got it. With someting around 30 seconds left in the 3rd quarter how do you not go for 2? Kicking the PAT stiil means you need a TD. I totally agree with the fact that its hard to win a game when you give up 32 points but can you honestly tell me that if McNabb throws maybe 2 more balls in a more catchable position that the final outcome of that game would have been the same reguardless of how the defense played. After 10 years arent you tired of seeing balls thrown at the feet or behind or overthrown consistently week after week. Part of the reason they suck in the red zone is because McNabb has no touch on his ball and cant throw a fade route. I dont solely blame Donovan some goes on the defense but I would blame the defensive coaching staff more than the players, when Fitz is ripping you all day why is he still being covered 1 on 1. If I was Jim Johnson and after hearing the myth all week that the Cardinals had a running game I would have dropped a linebacker added a 5 defensive back and played nickle the entire game. Make them beat me by handing the ball off instead of letting them beat me at what they do best.
I agree Wally.....The eagles had a poor game plan coming in and it showed....They play too conservativey in big games. Andy reid and Bob Stoops must share a brain.

Yeah, Big game Andy. I find it amazing that the Cardinals are the NFC's 8th different Super Bowl team in the last 8 years and we could have been there in 5 of those 8 instead of just 1. You cant even call McNabb a modern day Jim Kelly, atleast Kelly got the Super Bowl before he lost.
The Eagles are like the Detroit Pistons in the regard that they can't get out of that round. The Pistons have made the Eastern Conference finals 6 years in a row and only gotten out of that round twice and won one NBA Championship, the Eagles have made it five times gotten out once and lost ot the Patriots by three.
